Shakespeare on the Square in Knoxville, Tennessee

Shakespeare on the Square is an outdoor summer Shakespeare festival featuring live performances on the community stage in the Market Square District of downtown Knoxville. Performances are held between July 16th and August 15th, 2009! An old blanket or lawn chair is all you need to view the free performances under the stars. This is the 19th season that The Tennessee Stage Company, a recognized 501(c) 3 non profit professional theater troupe, has produced some of the best written plays the theater world has ever known. This year they are staging “Hamlet” and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. Make sure to enjoy one or more performances with your friends and family – it will be loads of fun!
